Craft & Common - Orlando

The Coffee (9 / 10)

When glancing at the menu, the top item featured for the last 3 years has been "The Dunes", which piqued my interest by featuring orange zest, and a slice of orange in the drink. All of their featured drinks are two shots of espresso, with the usual selection of milks (almond, oat, half and half). Their featured drinks are squarely in the category of "more milk than coffee". They do offer different types of beans if you are a "source my own from Ethiopia" kind of person.

WiFi Performance (12 / 20)

Encrypted
BandwidthMid (30-100mbps)

WiFi Performance varies wildly based on where you are at and how many people are there. There appears to only be one router in the back of the shop. The performance varies wildly based on how many people are in.

Noise Levels - Loud (4 / 10)

Overall noise is pretty loud, with very loud peaks when they are grinding coffee beans. The majority of the time it is loud enough for it to be audible over your music. For context, anything above 70 decibels will be heard over your music.

Noise Distribution - Majority of time above 70 db

Seating Comfort (4 / 10)

With 12 booth seats, 16 mid back chairs, and two bars, there is plenty of seating around, however the chairs are made out of metal and very uncomfortable for long term seating. Additionally, its very cramped with most tables inches from the next table. The tables are just big enough to hold a 16" MacBook Pro, but not much more.

One item that is significantly lacking are outlets, there are very few except for the very edges of the room.

Parking (2 / 10)

Unfortunately, there is no street parking and no free parking lot anywhere near by. Your only real option is to use the parking lot behind the building which is $2 per hour or $12 per day.

Mike Score (31 / 60)

Overall, Craft and Common has amazing coffee, but due to its noise, mediocre connectivity and lack of good seating, its too rough to recommend for a day at a coffee shop.
